Art of Flex-ability: Workshop Weekend – Barcelona
Join Rebecca for a transformative weekend of movement, strength, and creative flexibility in Barcelona. Designed for yoga practitioners, movement artists, and anyone looking to explore their body in a safe, smart, and playful way, this weekend blends technique, creativity, and personalized guidance to help you move to the next level in your practice.
The Art of Flexibility is Rebecca’s signature method, developed over 15 years of teaching in more than 30 countries worldwide. It goes beyond simply getting into poses: it’s about understanding your body, your restrictions, and building a personal pathway to strength and mobility that works for you.
The workshops emphasize safe, effective technique, hands-on adjustments, partner work, and creative use of props, helping you engage, align, and explore your flexibility in a way that is playful, expressive, and deeply satisfying.
Whether you’re completely new to flexibility training or looking to push your practice further, this weekend offers something for everyone. It’s perfect for practitioners who want to move smarter, develop the strength to support their flexibility, and enjoy a creative, expressive approach to movement.
Friday Evening – Masterclass: Focus: Camel and Wheel
Begin the weekend with a seamless, flow-based exploration of spinal mobility, where technical precision meets creative expression. Moving through spinal waves and spirals, we explore flexion, extension, lateral flexion, and rotation to build strength, control, and fluidity. This foundation naturally leads to dynamic transitions between Camel, Wheel, and Drop Back, experimenting with sequencing and movement possibilities. Partner work and props are used to support alignment and creative exploration.
Saturday Morning: Splits Workshop
Whether you’re just starting or looking to deepen your front splits, this workshop meets you where you are. Learn drills and progressions tailored to your body, explore the role of the hamstrings, glutes, quadriceps, hip flexors, and inner thighs, and practice passive, active, dynamic, and isometric stretching techniques. Discover playful transitions in and out of splits and learn how to create sequences that feel creative, fun, and safe. Partner work and props are integrated throughout.
Saturday Afternoon – Flip Your Grip
Take your backbend practice further with dance-inspired spinal waves, circles, and twists. Focus on alignment, strength, and mobility for poses like Cobra, Bow, and Kapotasana, while learning fluid, graceful transitions in and out of backbends. Use props and partner work creatively to deepen your practice safely, and explore sequences that connect strength, flexibility, and flow.
Sunday Morning – Back Strength and Conditioning for Backbends
Develop the foundation for strong, supported backbends through focused strength and conditioning. This session emphasizes core engagement, middle back activation, spinal mobility, and glute, hamstring, hip flexor, and quadriceps activation, building the strength necessary for advanced backbend shapes. Work on Cobra and Flying Cobra variations, exploring how to generate power and control through the back and core. The session then moves into Bow Pose practice and variations, including Donut, integrating the strength and activation developed throughout the morning. Partner work and props are used to assist alignment, activation, and creative exploration.
Sunday Afternoon – Chest Stand Exploration
Begin with a short mobility flow to prepare the spine, shoulders, and hips. The session then focuses on chest opening and a safe neck warm-up, preparing the body for Chest Stand. Explore Chest Stand from the ground, pressing up and breaking down the mechanics and prerequisites of this entry. After building this foundation, warm up the shoulders and practice Wheel and Forearm Wheel, including catching the ankles in Forearm Wheel, and explore how this can lead into Wheel → Chest Stand transitions. Partner work and props are used to support alignment, activation, and creative exploration.
