In this free 90-minute practice we will explore the art of splits and the creative transitions between them. This is a unique opportunity to experience my teaching style – a blend of creativity, mindfulness, and the balance of strength with mobility.

 

You can expect a practice that combines technique with lightness, and discipline with play. Whether you are just starting your journey with splits or looking for new ways to weave them into your practice, you’ll find both inspiration and challenge waiting for you.

This five-week intensive gives you the right steps, mechanics, and consistency to progress safely.

It’s not just about the poses. Transitions matter. Moving in and out smoothly shows strength and control - not just flopping or jumping.

 

Prerequisite: You can do a wheel pose away from the wall.

Ankle Catch Immersion

Over 4 classes we will progressively work towards ankle catches in lunge, splits, bow, wheel and dancer.

 

Completion of these poses requires a lot of flexibility in the hip flexors and shoulders as well as strength and stability in the hamstrings and the glutes.

 

Each class will start with a vinyasa based up designed to target these areas. This will then lead into strength and mobility drills to support you to work towards these poses in a safe and intelligent way. We will then go onto explore ankle catches including modifications/variations, prop based assists, transitions and choreography.

Wheel shapes and transitions

In this workshop we will explore wheel shapes and variations including alien wheel, drop back and some funky transitions in and out of wheel.

 

The workshop will start with a warm up designed yo build fluidity and awareness in the spine. This will include spinal waves, twists and spirals. We will then go on to explore drills including:

  • Glute and hamstring activation

  • Shoulder, upper back opening

  • Hip flexor/quad strengthening and flexibility

 

The second part of the workshop will explore shapes and transitions in wheel including alien wheel and drop back variations and how you can adapt them for your own practice. We will then explore how you can link these poses together to create fun transitions and your own creative sequences.

Head to toe workshop

In this workshop will explore the mechanics behind this action including hamstring, glute and middle back engagement as well as chest, neck, thoracic and hip flexor opening.

We will start with a warm-up followed by contortion style strength and mobility drills. We will then explore poses including lunge, cobra, bow and scorpion.

The workshop will end with creative sequencing and transitions followed by a cool down and the opportunity to ask questions.

Prerequisites:

Some flexibility experience or a consistent yoga/movement practice. Must be able to push up into a wheel and kick into a forearm/handstand against a wall.

The art of backbends
The Art of Backbends

During these Master Classes you’ll be given a toolkit of drills to incorporate, and explore assists and transitions inspired by contortion,dance and mobility training for further support and strength.

 

The classes include:

  1. Hip flexors, hamstrings and glutes. Poses covered include cobra, bow, donut and scorpion.

  2. Shoulders and hamstrings. Poses covered include flipped grip in king pigeon, lunge and split variations, dancer and needle.

  3. Upper back and shoulders. Poses covered include wheel and hollow-back variations including drop back, forearm wheel and alien.

  4. Lower/middle back, chest and neck extension. Poses covered include chest stand, croc and fallen dancer/mountain pose variations and transitions.

Inversion immersive
Inversion Immersive
Price: £100.00

Learn the tools and techniques to safely take your flexibility practice upside down. In this immersive we will cover flexibility shapes including splits, tuck, straddle, pike, stag and scorpion.

 

Each session will start with a strength and conditioning warm-up. This will be followed by an exploration of the mechanics of each pose/transition which will include mobility and alignment based drills and prop based assists. We will then explore ways to safely come in and out of each arm balance/inversion. This will include how to work with the wall, modifications, advancements and transitions.

 

You do not have to be able to hold inversions away from the wall to do this immersive. However, it is recommended that you have at least one years experience in a movement based practice e.g. yoga, dance, pole dance, aerial.

Immersion focus:

  1. Shoulder stand and shoulder rolls, fallen angel and eka pada koundinyasana variations.

  2. Scorpion forearm and handstand, stag, double stag, chest stand and croc variations.

  3. Hollow-back including alien wheel, charging scorpion, forearm wheel and hollow back forearm and handstand.

  4. Hand stand press including tuck, straddle and pike variations. We will also cover firefly pose in this session.

  5. Transitions and sequencing. In this session we will look at how you can link some of the arm balances and inversions we have covered together. This will include choreography both with and without the wall. We will also cover leg shapes and arm variations in headstand, forearm stand and handstand. Options will be given based on your level.

Expect a playful, challenging and supportive approach to turning your flexibility practice upside down – quite literally.

Backbend 1
Backbend Workshop 1

This Backbend Workshop series consists of four 75-minute backbend classes which break down and demystify some of the most popular backbend requests and questions that I get asked about. The classes include:

  1. Camel and floating camel 

  2. Cobra and full bow

  3. How to safely drop back 

  4. Backbends with splits

 

The classes are taught in my signature style which combines flow with mobility and flexibility drills influenced by yoga, contortion and dance.

Each class starts with a warm up designed to strengthen and stretch the areas of the body we are working with. After the warmup, we explore the mechanics and alignment of each key pose and how you can adapt them to suit your body and goals.  The final part of each class explores sequencing and fun transitions designed to inspire your creativity and help you move with fluidity, grace and awareness in and out of each pose.

You can expect a fun, informative and playful practice which is designed to suit all levels whether you're relatively new to these postures or are looking for something to challenge, motivate and push your flexibility to the next level.

Backbend Workshop 2

My Backbend Workshop Series 2 consists of 4 workshops and 1 integrated full length flow which include:

 Cobra and Bow pose

This series provides over 5 hours of instruction which you can practice on demand. It does not have an expiration date so you can repeat it as many times as you like.

 

Each workshop is taught in my signature “Art of Flex-ability” style which combines flow with mobility and flexibility drills influenced by yoga, contortion and dance.

 

The first 4 workshops start with a warm up designed to strengthen and stretch the areas of the body we are working with. After the warmup, we explore the mechanics and alignment of each key pose and how you can adapt them to suit your body and goals.

 

The 5th workshop looks at how you can sequence the poses and transitions covered in the first 4 workshops together in a fun and creative way.

 

Prerequisites:

  • Comfortable pushing up into a wheel without the wall

  • Comfortable in cobra pose

Creative Transitions

One of the biggest blocks I come across with yoga teachers and students is that they feel stuck or uninspired with their teaching or practice. A common question I get asked is “Where do you get the inspiration for your sequencing from?”

 

To address this, I am so excited to release my Creative Transitions bundle, which includes over 4 hours of content designed to give you an insight into my sequencing method. These videos deconstruct my creative process through sharing tools and techniques you can use to inspire your own creativity and build sequences that are as unique as you are.

 

These 8 videos are between 10-30 minutes each and break down some of my favorite transitions inspired by contemporary dance and pole dance. Each video explores a different transition in a multitude of ways, showing how you can play and experiment with it before building it seamlessly into your yoga practice creating sequences in a way that structurally makes sense.

 

The series then ends with a 75 minute flow which encompasses all of the elements you have learnt throughout the series, providing you with a fun example of how the transitions can be threaded together to create a fun and innovative flow. My goal is to inspire your practice and think of movement as more a creative process without limits.
